Leah Crowne, Soprano

American Dramatic Soprano Leah Crowne, is celebrated for her powerful voice and vivid character portrayals. Known for her roles in Tristan und Isolde and Turandot, she continues to impress with upcoming performances in Tosca and Hansel and Gretel. An award-winning educator, Leah founded Crowne Voice, INC, and Keystone Opera to nurture aspiring vocalists. Her contributions to opera have earned her recognition from prestigious institutions like the Académie internationale de musique française and The Wagner Society of New York.

Julie Kremm, Soprano

is known for her high energy and sense of humor, both on and off the stage.  She’s a PA native who studied at West Chester University, did her Masters at West Virginia University, then continued work under the watchful eye of Mignon Dunn.  While her focus is primarily opera, she also loves to sing Disney, Broadway, Karen Carpenter, John Denver, and more.  She loves understanding how the voice works and maintains a small voice teaching studio.  Performance highlights have included Queen of the Night – Die Zauberflöte, Gretel – Hansel and Gretel, Clorinda – La cenerentola, Adele – Die Fledermaus, and Susanna – Le nozze di Figaro.

Jason Pandelidis

Performer, educator, and lover of all things music, Jason Pandelidis is a lyric tenor from York, PA. Jason recently covered the titular role in Candide at the Northern Lights Music Festival. Previously, he performed Enrico Carouser in Cedar Rapids Opera’s Too Many Sopranos. Earlier this year, he debuted Bucky in the world premiere of The Red Songbird with FBN Productions, Inc. and performed in Opera Omaha’s first opera in Spanish, El último sueño de Frida y Diego. Last year, Jason played The Ghost of Christmas Present in Omaha Community Playhouse’s A Christmas Carol and was a Teaching Artist for OPERA San Antonio’s Classical Music Institute. In the spring of 2023, Jason received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, under the tutelage of Jerold Siena. His performance credits at UIUC include Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro under the direction of Nathan Gunn, Normanno in Lucia di Lammermoor, the Angel City Tenor in City of Angels, and Palhaço Beringela in the partial premier of João Guilherme Ripper’s opera in Portuguese, Candinho. In the summer of 2022, Jason had the opportunity to sing Rolf in Sound of Music and Parpignol in La bohème at the Bay View Music Festival. When he is not singing, he enjoys reading, playing board and video games, and engaging in other classical nerdy endeavors.

Paityn Geppi, Soprano

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, and residing in York since late 2021, Paityn Geppi has been passionate about theatre and music since the age of nine. In early 2020, at the age of eleven, Paityn discovered a profound interest in opera. Known for having a nose in a book, writing poetry, or singing classical jazz music, Paityn is also a beginner in piano with aspirations to advance in it.

 

Despite being homeschooled, which provided limited performing opportunities, Paityn has embraced her first role with enthusiasm and dedication. With a vocal range that lies between soprano and mezzo-soprano, Paityn is excited to embark on this musical journey and looks forward to sharing their love for music and theatre with audiences.

Aaron Scarberry

Tenor Aaron Scarberry (he/him) has performed as a singer and instrumentalist across the United States, Canada, Italy, South Korea, and China. His operatic roles include Maximillian/Captain in the Chinese premiere of *Candide* with the Xi’an Symphony, Dr. Caius in *Falstaff* with Bronx Opera, and Nemorino in *L’elisir d’amore* with Opera McGill. As a concert soloist, he has appeared with the Shanghai Symphony and Philharmonic, and the Beijing TV & Radio Orchestra. A finalist in the International Chinese Art Song Vocal Competition, he was also featured on CCTV4’s *Very Extraordinary* for the 2018 Chinese New Year celebration. An accomplished bassoonist, he was principal bassoonist with the Berks Opera Company orchestra. Scarberry holds degrees from McGill University and West Virginia University and was a Young Artist with iSING! Suzhou International Young Artist Festival from 2015 to 2018.

Yvonne Kline

Mezzo Soprano Yvonne Kline grew up singing in choirs and performing in musicals in school, but after graduating from high school, she went to college and graduate school to pursue an academic career instead of following her passion. Finding the academic life monotonous and antagonistic towards creativity, she missed the stage and sought out opportunities to perform. She dabbled in performance art, aerial dance, and contortion/circus arts while residing in Florida. She now looks forward to making her operatic debut back in her home state of Pennsylvania .

Scott Crowne, Piano

Scott Crowne is a versatile pianist, conductor, coach, and teacher. He has held key roles as artistic director and principal conductor with Opera Susquehanna, Hub Opera Ensemble, and the American Singer's Opera Project. Scott has coached for institutions like Bel Canto in Tuscany, Mediterranean Opera Studio, Middlebury German for Singers, and Towson University. He currently teaches collaborative piano at Gettysburg's Sunderman Conservatory and serves as music director for the opera workshop program. He has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Salzburg's Leopoldskron, and Teatro Eschillo in Sicily. Scott holds degrees from the Catholic University of America and the University of Maryland, where he was a répétiteur with the Maryland Opera Studio. He resides in York, Pennsylvania, with his wife, soprano Leah Schenck-Crowne, and their two daughters.

Mylea Thomson

Mylea Thompson is a celebrated soprano from York, known for her exquisite voice and captivating stage presence. Her artistry has graced many local venues, solidifying her reputation as one of the region’s finest vocalists. She has performed as a soloist and ensemble member with the York Symphony Chorus and St. Paul's Episcopal Church, bringing her vocal talent to some of the area’s most cherished musical institutions. 

Mylea’s performances extend beyond these ensembles, as she has been a featured soloist at Cherry Lane Pavilion, York Revolution, the Heidelberg United Church of Christ Concert Series, and First Presbyterian Church of York. Her ability to connect with audiences and deliver emotionally resonant performances has made her a standout figure in York’s classical music scene. With a voice that resonates beauty and a presence that commands attention, Mylea Thompson is a true asset to the York community, enriching the cultural landscape with her remarkable talent.

Caroline Wolfe, Sorpano

Caroline Wolfe is a creative individual with a strong pull toward the avant garde and intimate programming.  Her mission as an artist is to break down antiquated barriers in classical music.  With a broad span of musical interests, Caroline looks both to revitalize old works in new light and to bring new music to the table.  Caroline premiered the role of Girl in Rachel J. Peters and Royce Vavrek’s new opera The Wild Beast of the Bungalow(2020) and has also produced, directed, and performed in several one-act operas, including Dominick Argento’s MissHavisham’s Wedding Night (2019).  Recently, Caroline has premiered many new works for soprano and ensemble with Longy’s new music group Ensemble Uncaged.

Zach Chan, Tenor

Zachary “Zach” Chan (he/him) is a freelance theatre artist and singer from Quakertown, PA. Zach’s young career has already seen great success, singing for world-class conductors with the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, performing at Carnegie Hall, and serving on multiple Boards of Directors with various choral and theatre groups. Some of his favorite stage roles include Tamino from Die Zauberflöte (Keystone Opera Company); Page/Kaspar Understudy from Amahl and the Night Visitors (Berks Opera Company/Albright College); Duke Orsino from Twelfth Night the Musical; and Ram’s Dad/Veronica’s Dad/Coach Ripper from Heathers the Musical (Playcrafters of Skippack). A proud member of the AAPI community, Zach hopes that his presence and work inspire and uplift other artists of color to pursue their passions and find their voice within the opera world. Zach currently serves as the tenor section leader for the Reading Choral Society under the direction of Dr. Graham Bier and as the tenor section leader for St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Wayne, PA, under the direction of Dr. Gordon Turk. He holds a BA in Theatre and a minor in Music from Albright College.

Cathleen McGowan

Cathleen McGowan, Soprano (she/her) is known for her warm tone, broad range, and versatility.  She’s a skilled actor who “Morphs into each character she portrays, with heartfelt and inspiring depth.”  Chiefly a recitalist, Cathleen presents challenging programs marrying art and scholarly research.  A resident of Adams County, Cathleen originally hails from Baltimore, MD and performs at home and internationally.  Recent solo engagements have been in Doncaster, England and York, PA.  Her next solo recital is scheduled for Feb 2025.  She performs opera, art song, jazz, musical theater, and world music and has performed with world class symphonies as well as ventures into composing and choral conducting. Recent opera roles include Königin der Nacht in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Nedda in Leoncavallo’s I Pagliacci.

A master’s level teacher, Cathleen instructs all ages, styles, and genres, and loves to help students find their own unique voices.  She is a teacher with Crowne Voice Studio.  As well as voice, Cathleen is also an instructor of visual arts.

Brenten Megee, Tenor

Brenten Megee is a well-known tenor from the Lancaster area who is best known for his sacred, classical, and patriotic solo concerts, as well as being a featured tenor chorister. He has appeared in various ensembles, musicals, sacred and choral productions. As well as being featured in opera company productions in Lancaster, York, Wilmington, West Chester, New Jersey, and New York. Brenten enjoys his position as the Performing Arts Associate at Friends Home in Kennett, the Tenor Section Leader for the Brandywine Valley Chorale, a professional chorister with VoxAmadeus and several local churches, and the Music/Choir Director at Grace UMC in Millersville.
